In this performance‚ for the first time‚ Giorgio Rossi one of the most significant author of the Italian contemporary dance‚ for the strictness of his research and the intimacy of his language‚ applies to the infancy without forgetting the view of the adult. The performance was born from the desire of Giorgio Rossi of ivolving in a new creative journey‚ people‚ souls and bodies of different origins‚ as he did in his last success “Piume”. The performance is immersed in the violence of the contemporary history (the war in ex–Yugoslavia)‚ but also in the world of fantasy‚ dream and imagination‚ involving also the fairy tales‚ cleaned from their XIX century scenary‚ for a primitive fascination. A sort of initiatory journey‚ whose protagonists are two children and their doubles of fantasy. “A performance about the possibility of protecting the world and caring the invisible.” Giorgio Rossi explains. “A journey‚ even for a dramatic reason‚ means for a child adventure‚ dream and knowledge. And it is with this spirit that we try to evoke places‚ feelings‚ situations. As if we try to watch the reality with the eyes of a child”. Spara alla Pioggia gets its inspirations from the world of fairy tales‚ the child‚ who goes towads the sea‚ is like the lame young–boy of The fife player of Hammelin‚ who is driven by Giorgio Rossi and Paolo De Falco along his way with an Italian young–girl: meeting and metaphore between the East and the West accompanied by the music of an accordion in heavenly gardens‚ where to get start to love. The music and the songs complete a performance between the genders‚ where the movement of the body goes with the texts‚ where Italian is mixed with a “grammelot” of the East‚ rich in imagination.
