The desire of focusing on some details of the work, without competing with the piece taken as a whole, pushes me to show my working process in its incompleteness. It will be presented in an open form, each time dealing with a certain moment of the process, where also a dialogue with the members of the audience takes part in the -focusing- of the work.
Furthermore, a wish to listen and to stop for finding in the relationship with them a re/flexion, and for creating a time to receive and look through their view. We will lay ourselves open to them, to their look, like objects at the mercy of their thoughts and feelings as it happens in real life, in a tenacious dispute between duty and desire. “Quore” is a pitiless and yearning work, which shows the unpredictable, what we know, but try to hide not wanting to be seen: the clumsiness of life, its chaotic movement, the desperate emptiness of some deeds, certain solitude or clumsiness, weaknesses, intimacy, little base actions. It is a destabilising work, it gets certainties out, unhinges codes, without giving solutions. Nevertheless one leaves the theatre with a sense of freedom: the four dance-actors always on stage, pierced by lights constantly on, made ugly by odd wigs, surprised in a small and careless daily life do and represent a reality that nobody dares to admit: life in itself. There is a gay and sad chaos in this work: little things and ridiculous details enchant for their lucid, piercing view of the reality which is made with an absolutely disarming severity and innocence. There are “pasolinian” bodies and faces, flesh marked by life, pure and corrupted at the same time, and opposite, like the other side of the medal, a rough and sad sensuality. This matter proceeds for accumulations of fragments, for splinters of images, in a graceless and broken architecture which allows nothing to harmony, nevertheless leaves place to sublime delicacies.
