The meeting between Frida Vannini’ a member of the Compagnia della Biennale di Venezia directed by Carolyn Carlson and author of the solos “Un grido taciuto’ un silenzio” and “Ritratto” presented in Italian and foreign festivals with great success and Carmelo Scarcella’ an eclectic character who embraces again the world of theatrical research after a break of eleven years spent doing experience at sea’ gave birth to the Daltura Company’ inaugurated in 2008 with the show Varco ‘ project co-produced by the Association Sosta Palmizi and the Centre Choregraphique National Roubaix-Nord Pas de Calais.
Varco was presented at the Festival Spam in Lucca ‘ ad Invito di Sosta in Lucignano’, Villa Strozzi in Florence’ at the Festival Creative Forum for Indipendent Theatre in Alexandria and at the Festival Danza in Movimento in Cagliari.

The members of the company are involved in artistic collaboration projects with other European companies.
