Two individuals… a man and a woman, in a place foreign to them… a ‘kaiten-zushi”, or one of those Japanese places where they serve raw fish and rice on a conveyor belt. The two will get to know each other, attract each other and finally love each other through this rotating machine. Actually, it’s not the first time… it’s happened before… when they didn’t recognize each other anymore, they slowly let each other slip into oblivion. Between the two there will be a succession of disenchantment and recognition until they decide to unite forever sublimating themselves… in death… through sushi…

“SHE’S A COMIC… A BITTER COMIC… IN 7/3.”

A smile is, in our opinion, the best way to open our minds to intimate reflection on the human being. The 7⁄3 refer to one of the innovations in Japanese cinema of the ’20s, that is the constant balance between the comic and tragic aspects of stories, in a symbolic relationship of…

… “THREE MINUTES OF TEARS FOR EVERY SEVEN MINUTES OF LAUGHTER.”
