Babù Teatro Danza
Elisabetta di Terlizzi, Francesco Manenti and Daina Pignatti come from different experiences in theatre, dance and contemporary circus. Together they gave life in 2012 to Bàbu Teatro Danza, a dance theatre company for children that produced the shows La bottega del sarto, abiti geniali per clienti speciali (2013) and Nella stanza di Max (2015).
Di Terlizzi is a dancer and choreographer, she has worked and still works for the most interesting Italian companies such as Sosta Palmizi, Enzo Cosimi and Teatro Kismet Opera. She has also worked with Habillè d’eau, Vera Stasi, Alef danzaateatro, Altroteatro, Prima Materia, Cooperativa teatrale Dioniso, Efesto, Dante’s team. She currently collaborates with: Stefano Cenci/Io, Monster; Parallel Dimensions Theatre/Stefano Cenci/Del Bene Del Male; Hamelin/Cristina Zamboni/300 grams of heart; Francesco Rossetti; Arterie Cirt/Riccardo Palmieri. In 2008 she founded the Italian-Swiss company Progetto Brockenhaus with which she created the shows: 3 soldi, dalle stelle alle stalle; Sagra; La menta sul pavimento; Non facciamone una Tragedia; performance: 3 soldi_Labirinto; 100% Parade; Verso Terra; Pasoliniana; Urban Monkeys; Not dal Mot; La Traversata.
Manenti is a painter and performer. Graduated from the Professional Training Course in Nouveau Cirque at the Theatre School of Bologna Galante Garrone, he has been studying martial arts and circus arts for several years. Since 2001 he has dedicated himself to the study of contact improvisation with D. Heitkamp, Benno Voorham and Daniel Lepkoff. He has worked with Giorgio Rossi (Sosta Palmizi), Michele Modesto Casarin (Pantakin), Benno Voorham, Rebecca Murgi, Teresa Ludovico (Teatro Kismet Opera). Together with dancer-actress Elisa Canessa hhe created the shows Esercizi e Drunk. In 2008 he founded together with E. Canessa, E. di Terlizzi, F. Dimitri, P. Gianotti and E. Rosenberg the Italian-Swiss company Progetto Brockenhaus.
Daina Pignatti is an actress and dancer. Graduated at the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico in Rome, she continues her studies with several Italian and foreign actors and choreographers (Teatrino Clandestino, J. S. Sinisterra, R. Brunel, Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni, S. Bucci, A. Bacalov, R. Move, G. Castillo di DV8,C. Carlson, S. Linke). She has worked with several directors and choreographers such as M. Vannucchi, Ricci/Forte, A. Cornelio, V. Melis, S. Kheradman, I. Sutton, J. Sanchis Sinisterra, I. Papas, La Fura Dels Baus.
